Great day in Martina Franca because Festival della Valle d’Itria won its 10th Abbiati Award, the highest recognition of Italian music critics.

The commission of the 42nd edition of the “Abbiati” Award, composed of Alessandro Cammarano, Andrea Estero, Carlo Fiore, Angelo Foletto, Susanna Franchi, Giancarlo Landini, Patrizia Luppi, Gianluigi Mattietti, Gregorio Moppi, Carla Moreni, Stefano Nardelli, Roberta Pedrotti, Paolo Petazzi, Alessandro Rigolli, met on Wednesday April 19, at the Associazione del Loggione del Teatro alla Scala, after considering the written reports sent in consultation phase by the members of the National Association of Music Critics, has designated the winners for the year 2022.

Festival della Valle d’Itria won the prize for the sets and costumes made by Leila Fteita for Le joueur by Prokofiev, a work staged in the last edition of the Festival (2022).
