The program of the 50th Edition
July 17th – August 6th, 2024
The Valle d’Itria Festival of Martina Franca, one of the oldest summer events dedicated to opera and vocal music, the first in the South, reaches the milestone of 50 editions, claiming the pride of its own history and reaffirming its role in the Italian and international scene as an ideal venue for the reinterpretation, in an original and modern key, of that decisive segment and style of Italian lyrical singing, which is Belcanto.
The words of Artistic Director
Sebastian F. Schwarz
“Now more than ever, in this edition, the festival addresses a broad and diverse audience: from lovers of Baroque opera to music enthusiasts who appreciate the great Belcanto repertoire, to entire families for a tale from One Thousand and One Nights, or to those who want to commemorate the bicentenary of the most famous symphony in the history of music, such as Beethoven’s Ninth… We invite everyone to Puglia to celebrate with us the 50th Festival of the Valle d’Itria.”
