Randall Shannon began his career as an orchestral musician based in London and spent ten years with orchestras in the UK and the Netherlands. Following this, he held management and then chief executive positions with Opera 80, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Opera Theatre Company (of which he was co-founder), Opera Northern Ireland and Buxton International Festival. He worked as an independent Arts Manager, Consultant and Producer in music, opera and film and television production, and held the position of Opera Adviser to the Irish Arts Council before joining Wexford Festival Opera.
