“Postcards from the Festival della Valle d’Itria” now airing on Sky Classica

A new visual story: behind the scenes and on stage

The Fondazione Paolo Grassi and the Festival della Valle d’Itria are pleased to announce a new chapter in storytelling through a media partnership with Sky Classica, created for the 51st edition of the Festival.

Starting July 25, every Tuesday and Friday at 8:15 PM on Sky Classica (channel 124) and streaming on piùclassica.it, viewers can watch “Postcards from the Festival della Valle d’Itria”: five short videos that capture the identity, energy, and uniqueness of one of Italy’s most beloved festivals of opera and classical music.

Through exclusive footage, interviews, and insights from both artists and institutional voices, the Postcards offer a privileged glimpse into the Festival’s inner workings — from rehearsal rooms and backstage to the voices and faces that bring each production to life.

Featured interviews include Michele Punzi, President of the Fondazione Paolo Grassi, Silvia Colasanti, Artistic Director, and leading figures from the 2025 edition: conductors, stage directors, and performers.

The series opens with the episode titled “Preview”, an overview of the Festival and its artistic vision, followed by episodes dedicated to this year’s opera titles:

  • Tancredi

  • L’Enfant et les sortilèges

  • Owen Wingrave

  • and a final episode focused entirely on the Festival’s concert season.

A visual and musical journey that brings the beating heart of the Festival della Valle d’Itria to your screen — wherever you are.
