49th Festival della Valle d’Itria

2023 Programme: Operas

Five Opera titles will animate the 49th Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca: “Il Turco in Italia” by Gioachino Rossini (1814), “Il paese dei campanelli” by Carlo Lombardo and Virgilio Ranzato (1923) and three premiere operas: “L’Orazio” by Pietro Auletta (1737), on stage for the first time in the contemporary times, the Italian premiere in contemporary times of “Gli Uccellatori” by Florian Leopold Gassmann (1759) and the absolute premiere in Italy of “L’adorable Bel-Boul” by Jules Massenet (1874).
